Your sessions belong to you
Imported or recorded: what Tide It 7 does with them.
You may have years of sessions in another app or on your GPS watch. The day you want to look back at them, some apps only let you see the latest ones, or ask for a subscription to reopen your own history.
For us it's simple: a session is your data. In Tide It 7, you relive all your sessions, for free and with no limit, whether they were recorded in the app or imported from elsewhere. Subscriber or not. And if you ever stop your subscription, nothing gets locked: your sessions stay there.
Importing your past sessions
Garmin, Suunto, Coros, Polar or Apple Health: import your GPX, FIT or TCX files, or your Health workouts. Tide It takes what the file contains — the track, the speed, the heart rate, the sport — and lets you relive it on the map: your track lighting up over time, your numbers (distance, time on the water, top speeds over 2 s and 10 s), export as GPX or CSV and saving to Health. All of it is free.
What an old imported session can't have, on the other hand, is what was never measured or kept:
- the real wind at the time: stations only keep a few days of history;
- the swell and the tide attached to the session, the gear from your quiver;
- jumps and airtime, paddle strokes: these need the watch's sensors during the session.
We don't make them up. When a piece of data doesn't exist, Tide It doesn't show it.

Recording in Tide It: what it changes
When your session is recorded in Tide It, on your iPhone or Apple Watch, it's complete from the start:
- one point per second, with the speed measured by the GPS;
- start and breaks set automatically: you just ride;
- the real wind from the spot's station, read every 5 minutes while you're on the water;
- the swell and the tide at the time, and the gear from your quiver;
- on the Apple Watch: your jumps and airtime, your paddle strokes, your heart rate and calories;
- your session on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island while you ride;
- a session that's never lost, even if the phone restarts.
And that's what makes the analysis possible: your speed against the wind that actually blew.

What Premium adds
Relive is free for everyone. Premium unlocks the analysis: your best efforts (2 s, 10 s, 500 m, nautical mile, alpha 500), your polar against the real wind, your maneuvers, every wave in detail in surf, your records by sport and déjà-vu, which tells you when the conditions of your best sessions come back.
Your first 3 recorded sessions get the full analysis, free forever. Premium costs €19.99 a year (or €2.99 a month), and it also includes all of Tide It: tides, real wind from stations, wind map, surf.
